Water, water everywhere!

With much of the garden under water we used our first weekend opening to make the rotunda area (where we all sit for a cuppa and a chat) more habitable and safe for the volunteers.

We started bailing out at 9.30am and within an hour we were laying plastic tiles and covering the area with pea shingle and woodchip. There were 20 of us helping out with barrowing, bailing and raking to make a lovely dry floor for us all to use. Thanks to everyone for their help and a special shout out to Martin for the woodchip, and to our ‘Woodchip Angel’ Yann.

Our next weekend opening will be on Sunday February 5th and each ‘first Sunday’ going forward.
