NGS Open Gardens Day, May 23rd

We’re delighted to be opening our gates again for this charity fundraiser on Sunday May 23rd. We’ll be open for visitors to come and wander around our blooming garden, enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake and have a natter with friends and our volunteers. We’ll also have plants for sale and a small brocante. Open from 10am – 5pm. Admission £6 for family groups, children are free.

Little Green Fingers

On Friday April 30th Stream Walk Community Garden will host its first children’s gardening group after lockdown.

The entry fee is £3 per family. Cash only.

Due to Covid, the pilot session on April 30th will have limited numbers (15 adults and children inclusive) so come early!

Please come prepared for the weather and for messy, often wet play.  Wellies might be useful. Bring snacks and water for the children.

Tea, coffee and cake will be available from our tea shed for £1 a mug / 50p per slice of cake.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

April 2021

We’re opening again!

After what has felt like an interminable lockdown and a long cold winter, Spring is here, and we’re able to open up our gates again for gardening, teas and coffees and plant sales. Oh, and the bodgers are opening their workshop again too.

From Thursday April 15th the garden gates will be open from 10am – 2pm. If you’d like to volunteer, get in touch with us at or just pop in for a chat.

We hope to have a parent and toddler group starting towards the end of the month. Watch this space for more details.

February 2021

Update: We have a new Chair and Secretary for the Stream Walk Trust so give a big welcome to Vee and Tudor.

We are moving ahead with our new polytunnel which we hope to have in place by the middle of the month, ready for seed planting, and we’ll take delivery of some compost this weekend.

Sadly we remain closed to the public because of the pandemic and limited to just 2 volunteer gardeners at a time. Roll on the Spring and better, more social times ahead at the garden.
